Sunday night, we had the opportunity to take our girls to church. It was their first time going since being in our care and mine too. During worship, I was moved to tears, and even now, as I'm writing this, my eyes are tearing up. One of the girls who was standing next to me noticed that I had tears in my eyes. She looked at me and told me in Spanish, "Jessica, don't cry. Don't be sad; it's okay." I smiled, leaned over, and said to her, "I'm not sad. They are tears of joy. It's okay… it's all okay." A few minutes later, I watched this girl become moved to tears as well. To describe what my heartfelt during this moment is indescribable because it was a moment full of joy, full of thankfulness, and one of peace…it was indeed a beautiful moment, and I will forever hold it close to my heart.

This girl is hungry. She is at a point where God is tearing down walls and building her up. She is ready and wants more.

As the worship team was singing a "closing song," she was again in tears. She immediately turned to me and, with tears streaming down her face, wrapped her arms around me, and we hugged. She left that service as a different person. There was a change in her. Although subtle, she went home with a light in her eyes and a smile on her face.
